Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)

Within a few years after graduation, the graduates of the Civil Engineering – General Civil Program are expected to attain the following program educational objectives:

  1. Professional Competence: Graduates will apply civil engineering principles, modern tools, and interdisciplinary knowledge to design, analyze, and implement sustainable infrastructure projects in structural, geotechnical, environmental, transportation, and construction engineering
  2. Innovation and Lifelong Learning: Graduates will engage in continuous learning and research, adapting to emerging technologies and pursuing advanced studies, certifications, or professional development to remain at the forefront of civil engineering practice.
  3. Leadership and Teamwork: Graduates will demonstrate leadership, project management, and teamwork skills, effectively collaborating in multidisciplinary and multicultural environments to deliver engineering solutions.
  4. Ethical and Societal Responsibility: Graduates will uphold the highest ethical standards and contribute to society by addressing pressing civil engineering challenges such as sustainability, safety, and resilience in infrastructure development.
