Architectural Engineering Program

Consistency of the PEOs with the Institutional Mission

The Program Educational Objectives (PEOs) of the Architectural Engineering Program are fully aligned with the mission of Horus University and the Faculty of Engineering. The institutional mission emphasizes knowledge development, research excellence, innovation, entrepreneurship, societal engagement, ethical responsibility, and the preparation of graduates capable of contributing to national and global development within a rapidly evolving technological landscape.

This alignment is clearly demonstrated through the structure and intent of the PEOs. The Excellence in Architectural Design and Engineering objective supports the university’s commitment to advancing knowledge and preparing highly competent graduates capable of designing safe, functional, and aesthetically innovative buildings and spaces that respond effectively to cultural, environmental, and societal needs.

The Technical Proficiency and Interdisciplinary Collaboration objective reflects the institutional emphasis on integrating knowledge, skills, and modern technologies. It ensures that graduates demonstrate strong technical capabilities in structural systems, construction methods, and digital design tools, while effectively collaborating within multidisciplinary and multicultural professional environments.

The Leadership objective aligns with the university’s focus on developing graduates who possess leadership qualities, innovation, and ethical responsibility. It prepares graduates to assume leading roles in architecture, construction, and urban development, contributing to the advancement of the profession and the built environment.

The Lifelong Learning and Societal Impact objective reinforces the institutional commitment to sustainable development, continuous learning, and societal engagement. It encourages graduates to pursue advanced education, professional licensure, and research activities, while contributing architectural solutions that enhance community resilience, preserve cultural identity, promote sustainability, and improve quality of life.

Accordingly, the PEOs are fully consistent with Horus University’s strategic direction, community responsibility, innovation-driven vision, and commitment to sustainable development and cultural preservation. This consistency is further clarified in Table 2.1.
