Electronics and Communications Engineering Program
Consistency of the PEOs with the Institutional Mission
The Program Educational Objectives (PEOs) of the Electrical Engineering – Communication and Electronic Program are fully aligned with the mission of Horus University and the Faculty of Engineering. The institutional mission emphasizes knowledge development, research excellence, innovation, entrepreneurship, societal engagement, ethical responsibility, and the preparation of graduates capable of contributing to national and global development within a rapidly evolving technological landscape.
This alignment is clearly demonstrated through the structure and intent of the PEOs. The Professional and Academic Excellence objective supports the university’s commitment to advancing scientific knowledge and preparing highly competent engineers who contribute to technological advancement and economic growth. By focusing on strong foundations in electronics, signal processing, and communication systems, the program ensures that graduates are equipped to excel in professional practice and advanced academic pursuits.
The Innovation objective directly reflects the university’s strategic focus on research, smart technologies, digital transformation, and entrepreneurship. Graduates are expected to participate in the design and implementation of innovative communication technologies that enhance connectivity and information exchange, thereby supporting both national digital infrastructure and global technological competitiveness.
The Leadership and Ethics objective aligns with institutional emphasis on ethical responsibility, citizenship values, teamwork, and societal engagement. It ensures that graduates not only possess technical expertise but also demonstrate integrity, leadership, and professional responsibility when addressing engineering and societal challenges.
The Lifelong Learning objective reinforces the university’s commitment to sustainable development and continuous intellectual growth. By encouraging graduates to pursue ongoing professional development, certifications, and advanced studies, the program supports adaptability in a dynamic technological environment and contributes to long-term societal progress.
Accordingly, the PEOs are fully consistent with Horus University’s strategic direction, community responsibility, innovation-driven vision, and commitment to digital advancement. This consistency is further clarified in Table 2.1.
