A Heartfelt Meeting with the Faculty of Engineering Community at Horus University

Today, Prof. Dr. Hatem Khater – Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Horus University, held a meeting with faculty members, teaching assistants, and administrative staff, expressing his sincere appreciation for their outstanding efforts during the academic year 2025/2026, affirming that they have proven their competence and excellence, and set a remarkable example of dedication and commitment.

The Dean conveyed the trust of the University Administration and the Board of Trustees in the ongoing development of the Faculty, and praised the pivotal role of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Dabaon – Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, who has been instrumental since the establishment of the Faculty of Engineering when he served as its founding Dean.

This meeting was held under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Saber – Chairman of the Board of Trustees, reaffirming the strong support of the University leadership for the Faculty’s journey of development and excellence.

Prof. Dr. Khater also highlighted the remarkable turnout of high school graduates applying to join the Faculty, which reflects its success and distinction, and confirms society’s confidence in its academic mission.

He further praised the ABET accreditation working group, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Moataz Mostafa, commending their great efforts in preparing the Faculty according to international quality standards and ensuring readiness for accreditation. A commemorative photo was taken with the group in recognition of their dedicated work.

The Dean also welcomed the newly appointed faculty members, wishing them success in giving their utmost efforts and encouraging them to integrate with their colleagues to strengthen teamwork and collaboration.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Prof. Dr. Hatem Khater – Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, presented several key recommendations:

• Continue developing curricula in line with global trends in engineering education.
• Strengthen scientific research and innovation by supporting projects of students and faculty members.
• Expand international cooperation with universities and academic partners abroad to open new horizons for students.
• Promote student activities that foster leadership and teamwork.
• Implement digital transformation across all sectors of the Faculty to ensure efficiency and rapid achievement.

He emphasized that these recommendations come within the framework of upholding the Faculty’s motto:
