Faculty of Engineering – Horus University Welcomes the Governor of Damietta in a Special Tour of Graduation Projects
The Faculty of Engineering at Horus University was honored by the visit of Prof. Dr. Hossam El-Din Fawzy, Governor of Damietta, accompanied by Dr. Mohamed Fawzy, Deputy Governor, along with university leaders and members of the Board of Trustees, to review the graduation projects of engineering students.
During the tour, students presented their projects from the Architecture and Civil Engineering departments, showcasing innovative and applicable ideas that serve the community and support sustainable development in Damietta. The Governor attended the discussion of the project Environmentally Sustainable and Flexible Waterfronts, and praised the high academic level and promising engineering ideas he witnessed.
He also attended a scientific seminar on carbon dioxide-based concrete treatment, one of the modern approaches supporting environmental sustainability and reducing carbon emissions in the construction sector.
🔹 On the sidelines of the visit, the Governor also reviewed projects from the Mechatronics, Communications, and Electronics departments, expressing his admiration for the innovations that reflect the remarkable progress of the students and their work.
At the end of the visit, the Governor expressed his pride in the students of the Faculty of Engineering, affirming that their projects represent a practical model of linking scientific research with developmental issues and community service.
