Visit of UESTC Delegation to the Faculty of Engineering – Horus University

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Saber – Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Horus University welcomed today a delegation from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), within the framework of the cooperation protocol signed between the two universities more than two years ago. This marks the third visit under the ongoing collaboration.
The delegation was received by Prof. Dr. El-Saeed Abdel Hady – President of Horus University, and Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Shahat – Vice President for International Agreements, where discussions emphasized the importance of strengthening academic and research cooperation between both sides.

🔹 The visit was conducted under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hatem Khater – Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and organized by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Maher Rashad – Head of the Mechatronics Engineering Department, reflecting the institutional effort and precise coordination to ensure the success of this international collaboration.
During the meeting, the President of Horus University presented the University Shield to the visiting delegation, and both sides exchanged commemorative gifts in a friendly and fruitful atmosphere.
Afterwards, the delegation toured the Faculty of Engineering – Horus University, inspecting the various laboratories and expressing admiration for the outstanding facilities. They also visited lecture halls, tutorial rooms, and drawing studios, which were simultaneously hosting the final exams of the Spring Semester 2025/2026. The delegation praised the discipline and commitment of students and faculty members during the examination process.
The delegation also reviewed several architectural engineering student projects, which showcased creativity and innovative design solutions. The visitors expressed their admiration for the students’ work, highlighting the distinguished level of the Faculty across all disciplines.

The tour included specialized laboratories such as the Robotics Lab, Sensors Lab, Automatic Control Lab, PLC Lab, Measurements Lab, Surveying Lab, Materials Lab, and Concrete Lab, where the delegation admired the advanced facilities supporting both education and research.
The Faculty of Engineering – Horus University is keen to strengthen international cooperation and openness to global expertise, positively impacting students and faculty members, and enhancing the university’s academic and research standing internationally.
