Welcome to all visitors to the official page of the Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Horus University. I am pleased to provide you with a brief overview of the department and its most important areas of work.

The Electronics and Communications Engineering program is one of the promising programs that are closely linked to Egypt’s Vision 2030, as it includes many specializations such as Communications Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Automatic Control Systems Engineering. The educational process in the department is based on linking the theoretical and practical aspects, as teaching takes place in halls and classrooms equipped with the latest display methods, with attention to the practical aspect, through a distinguished group of advanced laboratories, equipped with the latest technologies and experiments that are comparable to their counterparts in the most prestigious international universities, and learning is completed within the college as well as distant learning through educational platforms.

Creative thinking and teamwork through student teams, as well as social, sports and artistic activities through student families, are a method for completing the integrated personality of the university student, which qualifies him to address engineering problems in the field of specialization, in addition to developing presentation and effective communication skills, to qualify him to join the job market just after graduation.

The department seeks to be able to compete with merit and distinction with similar departments, whether Arab or international, and to be a pioneer in research projects, and to be a center for attracting distinguished students in the field of electronics and communications engineering, while opening horizons for cooperation through conferences, consultations, training, development courses and cultural activities.

The work fields include many promising opportunities such as designing, installing, operating and maintaining electronic devices, wired and wireless communication devices and networks, automatic control applications, security of civil and military communications networks, radio, television and satellite engineering, mobile phone companies, landline telephone networks and fiber optic communication networks, computer networks and Internet networks for banks, e-learning, computer vision systems, and smart cities design.
